Meet Carrie Forshner
I have always loved travel; as soon as I hear those jet engines starting, I know my next adventure is about to begin! In fact, I knew early on that I wanted to make travel a central part of my life and career-and I’ve taken my family along for the ride.
My Story
I majored in hospitality management and went to work right away with one of the biggest hotel brands in the world. There was only one problem—a job like that kept me in one place, and I was itching to explore! So I became a flight attendant and flew with Delta for 18 years. Along the way, I met my husband, who is an international airline pilot (funny enough, we didn’t meet in the skies—but at our local church!). We started a family, and between my husband and I, we had a lot of airline passes and perks.
And boy did we use them. We flew with our three kids to far-flung places like Hawaii, Alaska, and Europe—and we loved every minute of it. As our kids got older, we were “grounded” a bit by school and all their activities. But I’ve more recently re-prioritized our family travels, because as busy as our daily lives get, I’ve realized that vacations bring us all together like nothing else can.
